Let’s get something straight, I love oatmeal. I do not, however, love piping hot oatmeal on a sweltering Syracuse summer morning. Thus the overnight oatmeal has been born. With ingredients like old fashioned rolled oats, greek yogurt, and protein, calcium, potassium, and vitamin packed Chai seeds this oatmeal is a nutritional powerhouse of a breakfast. Eat up, the day has just begun.
1 mason jar
1/4 cup old fashioned rolled oats
1/3 cup milk
1/4 cup greek yogurt
1&1/2 tsp Chai seeds
1 Tbsp peanut butter
1 tsp honey
fruit (enough to fill the far, i used strawberries and bananas)
Put everything into the jar and mix it up. Cover with a lid or saran wrap and a rubber band. Refrigerate overnight. NOM NOM NOM
Nutrient facts for one serving (approximately since it will vary with whatever fruit or toppings you put in. This one is with banana and blueberries)

Bonus is this breakfast is low on glycemic load thanks to those heart healthy oats that won’t spike your blood glucose levels. Another plus is the alpha linolenic acid (1.1g of it!) in here. Oh and don’t forget 220mg of calcium just for good measure!
